Matthew established his practice in Switzerland in 2003 and was the co-organizer in October 2004 of L’étoile, espace thérapeutique in Nyon, where the practice is currently located.

Naturopath of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Switzerland)
Matthew’s training and diploma granted by OCOM (USA) is recognised by the Swiss Red Cross as equivalent to that of the Swiss system (that was created in 2015). He is thereby conferred the same status as the “EPS” diploma provides, and registered in the National Registry of Health Care Professionals, NAREG.
MAcOM from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM)
Matthew Epps is a graduate of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) in Portland, Oregon. His three year course of post-graduate studies in western medical sciences and traditional Chinese medical techniques also included training and clinical practice in Shiatsu, Qi Gong, and Tai Qi-Quan. He was granted the Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) degree in 2002 following successful completion of the national examination administered by the National Council for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine’s (NCCAOM) in the USA.
Clinical Internship
Matthew completed his internship and clinical training in Portland at:
- the OCOM Acupuncture Clinic and OCOM Shiatsu Clinic with the general public,
- the HolgateSenior Center and Gresham Senior Center with elderly patients;
- at the Portland Alternative Health Center with persons recovering from substance abuse problems.
APS-MTC Diploma in Acupuncture (Association Professionnelle Suisse de MTC)
M. Epps is recognised by the APS-MTC as member A in Acupuncture.
RME (Registre de Médecine Empirique) and ASCA (Fondation Suisse pour la Médecine Complementaire)
M. Epps is a member of the RME and ASCA, ensuring the possibility of reimbursement by the patients’ complimentary health insurance.
NADA Trainer
Matthew is also certified by the National Acupuncture Detox Association (NADA) in auriculo-therapy in the treatment of addictions.

Personal Bio
Matthew was born in Geneva, Switzerland, and raised in New Rochelle, New York. He returned to Switzerland with his family in 1993, where he graduated from the International School of Geneva at La Châtaigneraie, In 1995 he returned to the USA for university and graduated in 1999 from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a major in Asian Philosophy, and minor in Religious Studies. During the second half of studies at Macalester he became increasingly interested in the practice of traditional medicine, and traveled through India, Nepal, and Tibet to lay the foundation which supported his post-graduate study and current practice of Traditional Medicine. Later travel in China focused on the modern practice and integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in association with modern medical techniques and paradigms.
